A Man of Hope
Look at Job: he was victimized by the evil actions of the enemy. But Job never
allowed the enemy any jurisdiction over his hope. Our hope is our fortress. Job
declared, Though he slay me, yet will I trust him. Job 13:15.
Joseph demonstrated the same consistency, or I would even call it spiritual boldness, that we must all possess when life goes sideways.
God had given Joseph dreams and visions, but it appeared that his brothers were able to cancel them. But Joseph, because of his relationship with the Lord, never permitted the enemy any jurisdiction over his hope. So that when it looked like he was going backwards, God was able to use his backwards and make become a forward.
The 100-Year Mindset understands that when we give what we have to God, and we get him into our boat, we can expect a God-outcome.
What Eve should have done in the garden was redirect the conversation. I love what it declares in Psalm 50:23: Whoever offers praise glorifies me; and to him that orders his conversation correctly I will show him the salvation of God.
Prayer: Lord, I Thank You for the boat of my life. Lord, I give this boat to You, and You bring it to the destination You created it for. I will trust You on the seas of life, in the storms of confusion and in the end, I know You will bring me to the expected end You have for me so that this boat may give hope to those who are also on the same sea. I pray that they may see You in my boat. And I also pray that we may enjoy this journey so that in the end, You will carry me to the place of rest. Thank You for this boat, for my boat is You.
